BASAVA SAMITHI OF AUSTRALASIA (BSOAA) is a non-profit organisation established in 1994 at Sydney (Australia), inaugurated by Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji of Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath, Sirigere, considering Sydney as the first Chapter with idea of establishing other Chapters at different cities of Australia and other countries in this part of the world.
New Zealand Chapter of BSOAA was inaugurated by Shri Ma. Ni. Pra. Mallikarjuna Devaru, Sarpabhushan Mutt, Bangalore during May 2001 and Dr Shivamurthy Murugharajendra Mahaswamiji (Murugha sharaNaru), Sri Bruhanmutt, Chitradurga has laid strong foundation in April 2002 of sharaNa philosophy in New Zealand.
Basava Samithi, has been in the forefront in propagating across the world, the Basava philosophy of life and the teachings of other contemporary Sharanas of the 12th Century India.
